Course / Workshop Content

Dealing with money can make us feel anxious and this most certainly affects our wellbeing. Stepping Stones is now able to offer a one-to-one session for each person to meet privately with Alison, who has previously facilitated the ‘Reducing Stress and Anxiety Around Money course. The sessions are designed to work with you on developing positive strategies and exploring how money makes you feel. We can also signpost you to organisations that offer free help and advice. It is all about helping you to feel more in control, less anxious about money and generally happier. Who is this for? This is for anyone who would like to feel more in control of their money and find out more about their benefits, have some debt solutions and learn some easy budgeting skills. What will I learn? The sessions are designed to work with you on developing positive strategies and exploring how money makes you feel. We can also signpost you to organisations that offer free help and advice. We signpost you to organisations that offer free help and advice. The college also has a range of resources for you to take with you and to give you the skills and confidence to manage your money is a way which works best with your individual needs. Please be assured that there is no need for you to disclose anything about your own personal circumstances. The sessions are about providing guidance and signposting, so that you leave feeling much more in control of all aspects of your financial circumstances. How can I use what I learn? We hope that after your session with Alison, you will feel more control of your finances, much less stressed and far more confident about managing these areas of your life. However, we are not able to give advice on any your specific money matters but we hope to be able to provide you with information about other free, independent organisations and websites that can offer you this service. Please note that we are an independent charity and have no formal links to any government or council services. Everything that we discuss is completely confidential and stays in the room. If you have any questions about the sessions, please contact Alison on 01344 300333 or email alison@steppingstonesrecovery.co.uk
