Who is this for? This interactive 5-part course is ideal for anyone seeking to improve their mental health and wellbeing through cultivating a deeper connection with nature. It is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, or burnout.    What will I learn? Workshop 1 at Stepping Stones - Rediscovering Our Connection with Nature: (10:30 –12:30) In this session, we will delve into the emotional and psychological benefits of feeling connected to nature. Through engaging activities and discussion, we will gain greater insights into the reasons behind its positive effects.  Workshop 2 - at the Elms (meeting first at Stepping Stones) 10:30am to 1pm In this session, we will walk together from Stepping Stones to The Elms (exact details will be shared during our first session). We will experience the calming and rejuvenating effects of spending time outdoors and learn techniques to enhance your outdoor experience. You will be able to immerse yourself in nature during our walk together, experiencing the sights, sounds, and scents around you, noticing the intricate details of your surroundings, and connecting with others. You can also collect natural treasures and experiment with various techniques to deepen your connection with the natural world. Workshop 3 at Stepping Stones – Nature Craft: (10:30 –12:30) You will be encouraged to unlock and explore your creativity in this relaxing and mindful nature-inspired art and craft session. Workshop 4 – at Stepping Stones – Exploring Our Bond with Nature (10:30- 12:30) We will explore what animals can teach us about resilience, co-operations, compassion and living in harmony with nature. This session may be out in the community- details to be shared nearer the time. Workshop 5 at Stepping Stones - Integrating nature into everyday life: (10:30 –12:30) In our final workshop, we will explore practical ways to integrate nature into our daily routines and environments so that your connection to nature sustains, long after the course ends. How can I use what I learn? By the end of this course, you will not only better understand natures’ role in enhancing your own mental wellbeing, but you will leave with your own personalised action plan to encourage you to easily integrate the healing benefits of nature into your daily life.
