Who is this for? This is an introduction to yoga that is perfect for any Stepping Stones’ students who have not tried yoga before or who may have some previous experience but looking for a gentle session. What will I learn? We will focus on simple poses and breathing techniques to help calm the mind and improve flexibility. You will learn how yoga is not about being super bendy—it’s about finding balance, both physically and mentally. We will also cover the benefits of breathing techniques and mindful movement to help reduce stress, prevent injury, and promote overall wellbeing. You will have the opportunity to adjust the difficulty of each pose to suit your own comfort level, whether you are new to yoga or more advanced. No special equipment is needed, just wear comfortable clothes that you can move in, and bring a yoga mat if you have one but do not worry if not, as Stepping Stones will provide one for you to use. Please do not forget to bring some water too, as it is important to stay hydrated. How can I use what I learn? The skills and techniques from this class will help you feel more confident about attending any future yoga classes without feeling intimidated. You will also gain tools for calming your mind, improving flexibility, and supporting your physical and mental health. Please note that we will ask you to read and sign a health waiver before doing this course PLEASE BE AWARE THIS COURSE IS AT BRACKNELL LIBBRARY, GROUND FLOOR Please enter the building via the side entrance which is sited on the pathway between the Library and Fenwick's cafe.
