WHO IS THIS FOR? WRAP is for anyone who is looking to build back their life, after any difficulty. This is the gold standard of any Recovery College and we hope all students will complete it. Although initially conceived for those recovering from mental illness, it has now been applied in many other settings, so it’s open to anyone who feels they could be benefit. WHAT WILL I LEARN? WRAP gives you a framework on which to build your recovery and will serve you well throughout your life. Week 1 - Key Concepts of WRAP 1. Hope 2. Personal Responsibility 3. Education 4. Self-Advocacy 5. Support Week 2 – The Seven Key Elements of WRAP 1. Developing a Wellness Toolbox 2. Daily Maintenance Plan 3. Dealing with Triggers 4. Dealing With Early Warning Signs 5. When Things Are Getting Worse 6. Crisis Planning 7. Post Crisis Planning and Review We also start building our Wellness Toolboxes Week 3 – Triggers – Identifying and PLANNING a strategy Week 4 - Dealing with Early Warning Signs & When things are Getting Worse Week 5 – Crisis Planning, and Post crisis Planning and Reviewing our WRAP HOW CAN I USE WHAT I LEARN? You will have a more structured way to think about your life and the ups and downs that affect us all. It will help you take back control and make plans to reduce the number and severity of any crises – whether these are physical, mental or emotional.
