Pathways
Explore our 6 Learning Pathways of Courses and Workshops. We would like to inspire you with an exciting journey of self discovery.

PATHWAY 1
FOUNDATIONS OF RECOVERY
Recovery is about the whole person and it’s different for everyone. In a way, it’s all about getting to know yourself better and finding ways to enjoy just being yourself. This pathway is the perfect starting place for anyone who wants to begin their recovery journey at Stepping Stones. It’s great preparation for the journey ahead!
We will provide you with a safe and compassionate learning environment where you can relax and be yourself. We will explore attitudes, behaviours and thinking styles and identify which are helpful, and, which are not. We also work together to develop a positive growth mindset that helps to overcome barriers and highlight your personal life goals.
We hope this will give you a clearer idea of how you would like to spend your time at Stepping Stones and give you the confidence and clarity to complete your Personal Recovery and Learning Plan.

PATHWAY 2
UNDERSTANDING AND MANAGING CONDITIONS AND CHALLENGES
The courses and workshops in Pathway 2 are designed to help you build an understanding of a range of mental health conditions and life challenges. Many include some reflection on coping strategies and wellbeing. Although we discourage detailed disclosure of personal experiences and circumstances, these discussions might prove difficult.
Your mental health and wellbeing must always come first. So, if you are at all uncertain about your readiness to attend these courses, please wait until you feel emotionally prepared and in a strong enough place in your personal journey to engage with the frameworks and discussions in these sessions.
We hope to provide everyone attending with more information and plenty of signposting to organisations that can provide specialist support.

PATHWAY 3
POSITIVE HEALTH AND WELLBEING
Having a sense of wellbeing is such an important part of anyone’s recovery. This means connecting with people, being mentally and physically active, taking notice of what is around, learning and giving.
This pathway explores the effect of different challenges to our general wellbeing and offers lots of knowledge, practical skills and ideas for how you can do more to promote your own health and support your recovery.
PATHWAY 4
HAVING FUN DISCOVERING YOUR INNER CREATIVITY
Recovery can be a wonderful journey of self-discovery and a great opportunity to re discover the sheer joy of simple things – like singing together, having fun learning more about ourselves in drama or exploring different ways to express ourselves creatively – for example trying photography, simple printing, free form painting or creative writing.
You can develop new skills or build on some you already have. Either way, you will have lots of fun and feel a great sense of achievement and wellbeing afterwards!
