Wednesday Wellbeing

In our last edition, we told you about Cathy, who is cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for Stepping Stones and Macmillan Cancer Nurses. We have had an update from her, including this fab photo of her wearing our Stepping Stones T-shirt! So far she has raised over £1,350 and is set to reach John O'Groats around the 14th July. Go on Cathy!

Jumping for July! With only 2 days left of June, we thought you might like to take a look at the Jump Back Up July calendar from Action for Happiness. Share your actions on our social media pages.

Say hello to our amazing Administrator! Nikita Davy

If you have ever called the Recovery College and heard a bright, cheerful voice saying "Hello, Stepping Stones" - it was probably Nikita! She is based in the office at Stepping Stones, undertaking all the important administration work that keeps the wheels turning, and most importantly, keeping you all booked onto your courses. Nikita is one of our success stories, having been a student herself at the college in the Autumn term. She can still be found on some courses (we can't keep her away!) and generally enjoys a chat with other students and our facilitators. Outside of Stepping Stones, Nikita enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family. She is also a busy Mum to two beautiful daughters. She has been with us since November 2021 and absolutely loves her job. We think she is brilliant, too! Thank you Nikita.

The power of better thinking!

"All through my life, the new sights of nature made me rejoice like a child" Marie Curie (Polish-born French Chemist)

"When I am attacked by gloomy thoughts, nothing helps me so much as running to my books. They quickly absorb me and banish the clouds from my mind" Michel de Montaigne (French essayist and philosopher) "Happiness is a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but which, if you sit down quietly, may light upon you" Nathaniel Hawthorne (American Writer)
