Who is this for? This two part course is for Adults who have ADHD, self-identify as having ADHD or anyone who wishes to understand adult ADHD and wishes to understand how ADHD shows up in everyday life and find ways to improve their quality of life using a strengths-based approach to tasks, situations and relationships with others. If you are seeking practical tools and strategies to protect your wellbeing while navigating work, home, and relationships, this course is for you. What will I learn? This two part course is packed with useful information on understanding why ADHD and strategies to help and support. In part one we will: • Unpack the ADHD “iceberg” to reveal what’s visible and what’s often hidden beneath the surface. • Explore executive function (the brain’s “control tower”) and how it impacts planning, time, focus, emotion, and follow-through in daily life. • Map common challenges and real strengths associated with ADHD, identify what sustains your wellbeing, build simple mental health supports, and practice confident self-advocacy in work, healthcare, and personal settings. In part two we will: • Create concrete tools for time-keeping, task initiation • Find motivation and creativity to start, sustain, and finish tasks. • Learn emotional regulation skills you can actually use under stress • Ways to stay balanced when you enter hyperfocus—protecting rest, relationships, and health while still leveraging deep focus as a superpower. How can I use what I learn? In this course you will create an individualized toolkit you can apply right away in your day to day tasks and interactions with others. You will feel more confident self-advocating and expressing your needs and will be more aware of burnout and use tools to prevent it. You’ll leave with a realistic plan to design your environment, regulate emotions in the moment, channel hyperfocus safely, and build habits to maintain your wellbeing.
