Course / Workshop Content

Who is this for? Overwhelmed with commitments to others and little time for your own personal interests, hobbies or personal interests? Preoccupied with meeting everyone else’s needs? Feeling exhausted from spreading yourself too thin? This course is for those who wish to develop a deeper understanding of their emotional needs and how to set appropriate boundaries that maintain and preserve their wellbeing. What will I learn? Learning to be a wise giver, saying No in a way that aligns with your values and benefits not only you but others around you is key to healthy relationships. This course will help you identify what you can do for yourself and others that supports your emotional wellbeing. We will tap onto what you value and what is important to you in life and how to use that knowledge to craft time for yourself while also giving to others in a manner that is sustainable and preserves your emotional wellbeing. In Part 1 - We will investigate what healthy boundaries look like, what they need to have in place to be effective and when it is the best time to set them. In Part 2 - We will explore different frameworks to set emotional boundaries; we will discuss language and how to respond to others’ pushbacks while working on building our confident to become self-protective givers. How can I use what I learn? You will be able to pause and be aware of your emotional needs and those of others and be able to align your strengths and ways of giving so that you are not depleting and exhausted from meeting others’ needs but not your own. The strategies taught will be useful in your day-to-day life and interactions with the world.
