Course / Workshop Content

Before signing up to attend this course students must have completed our "Foundations of recovery" course. WHO IS THIS FOR? For anyone who wants to discover more about themselves and how to get on better with people who have different styles to you. This a great deal of fun, but has a serious meaning behind it, and is based on cutting edge neuroscience. Come and discover your preferred behaviour style. To perform at our best, we need to understand our own “jigsaws” first - and those of colleagues, family and friends etc. WHAT WILL I LEARN? You will learn a LOT of self-awareness. Find out your preferences and why you do what you do in the way that you do it!! Completing your own “Jigsaw” will help you • Be more confident and comfortable in your relationships • Be more aware of the impact of your communications and behaviours on others • Better understand why others behave as they do and anticipate their reactions • Accommodate and appreciate the qualities of others • Reduce stress and pressure Part 1 – complete your own “Jigsaw” – what “colour” are you – what are YOUR preferences. Nothing is wrong or right, but identifying our preferences can give us many light bulb moments of why some things are easy for us and others we don’t like doing, put off etc Part 2 – knowing which “colour” YOU are is one thing – but people are not all like us and we have to navigate the world full of other “colours”. Why do some things stress you, but not bother someone else? How can you communicate better with others? HOW CAN I USE WHAT I LEARN? You will be able to put this into action straight away! You will leave with a lot more self-awareness and ready to prepare yourself better for things you find difficult, understand why you might on occasions feel like a square peg in a round hole. It will also help you to go forward with more knowledge about other people whose styles and preferences are very different, and what you can do to make those interactions more effective.
