WHO IS THIS FOR? This workshop is for family members, key workers, staff, carers and anyone who wishes to learn more about mental health and how to support others who may be experiencing difficulties. You may wish to learn more how certain conditions can affect us and what signs and symptoms you might expect to see. WHAT WILL I LEARN? You will learn about the way our minds work and how our thinking can impact our bodies and vice versa. We will look at different traits and temperaments and ways to identify when someone is struggling, how to help and what to say or what not to say. Ups and downs in life bring with them high powerful emotions, some of them are easier to manage than other and some individuals might need the extra help to transcend those emotions and make sense of the world. With your help they can do so! HOW CAN I USE WHAT I LEARN? You will be able to use what you have learn in your everyday life, whether you are working with someone that is struggling, a family member or a friend. You will be given some strategies to help you to support others and feel more confident and comfortable in your day-to-day life.
