Course / Workshop Content

Who is this for? This workshop is designed for anyone who struggles with social anxiety or wishes to learn more about how to support someone with social anxiety and enable them to regain control and enjoy social situations better. What will I learn? You will learn why we experience social anxiety and its function. We will explore thinking processes and how triggering thoughts can be put aside and enable re- engagement with the world. The workshop also provides information on how to deal with triggering situations and how to support yourself or someone with social anxiety. We will look into ways that social situations can be enjoyed using different strategies, tips and techniques. The course content will be delivered in a very relaxed manner and you will not need to share any difficult or triggering experiences. We are here to make your experience of joining a group as easy and comfortable as we possibly can. You are in charge of your own recovery and only you determine the pace of it with our support. How can I use what I learn? You will leave the session with some strategies and tips for you to put into practice when you are ready. You will be able to feel more in control over your social anxiety, once you have ways to tame it.
