WHO IS THIS FOR? This course is designed to help anyone affected by anxiety and stress. If you feel stressed or anxious, this course will provide you with an understanding of both emotions, their relationship to each other and how to manage them. WHAT WILL I LEARN? We will help you understand our ‘red brain’ and how anxiety and stress can impair our judgment and make us behave differently. We will help you better understand better your emotions and how to calm your ‘red brain’ and deal with challenging situations. In Part 1: we will look into stress and the types of stress and stressors that can contribute to poor mental health. We will look into anxiety and the connection between stress and anxiety; explore our thinking traps and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns. In Part 2: we will look into ways to combat anxiety and gain control over it. We will practice different techniques and you will leave with a set of strategies chosen by you that can support you as an individual HOW CAN I USE WHAT I LEARN? You will be able to use different techniques to soothe and self-regulate and create space between you and the triggering event that makes you stressed or anxious. The course will help you respond to life situations rather than react.
