World Mental Health Day

It’s World mental Health Day on Sunday, October 10th and, since September of this year, over 100 students have now registered with Stepping Stones recovery college and have attended some of the forty workshops and courses provided to support their mental health and wellbeing. Here’s what some have said about their experiences:

"It’s had a massive impact on my life and recovery. I look forward to coming to these sessions.

After every session, I come away feeling happy about things.

I like the workshop experience. It helps to build my confidence.

I absolutely love it all. It is so interesting, fun, educational and confidence boosting. Can’t wait for the rest of the course."

We’re so delighted to bring you this really positive news, especially around World Mental Health Day. But many more in our local community are still feeling more isolated, anxious, stressed and generally less happy than they would like to be. And you don’t have to ignore this, feel you need to ‘just keep going’ or ‘put up with low mood.’ Stepping Stones recovery college is here to help you make sense of why you’re feeling the way you do, give you lots of ideas for how to overcome these personal challenges and help you rediscover a great sense of wellbeing. We have a huge selection of workshops and courses for you to choose from – from singing and drama to managing stress and anxiety, learning about the Science of Happiness and how what you eat can affect your mental wellbeing.

If you are over 18 years and live or work anywhere in the Borough of Bracknell Forest, then you can attend Stepping Stones recovery college completely free of charge.

Most courses run throughout the week, in person, at The Court House opposite the library but we also have some online, in the evening.

You might already be thinking about making changes but you really don’t have to do this alone. Come and find your hope and courage with us and prepare to have a more flourishing life. So, if you’re interested in finding the best version of YOU, do get in touch with us – we’d love to support you on your journey.

And if World Mental Health Day has inspired you to consider the quality of your own wellbeing, please do look at our website here.

You can register and book courses here or call us to discuss these on 01344 300333. Alternatively, come and see us at the Court House, Broadway, RG12 1AE.

We’re open every weekday from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

We look forward to hearing from you and inspiring you to GROW and FLOURISH in your own unique way
